AARP Free Tax Preparation at the Evergreen Branch Library
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides in-person and virtual tax assistance to anyone free of charge with a special focus on taxpayers who are over 50 or have low to moderate income. Tax-Aide volunteers are located nationwide and are trained and IRS-certified every year to make sure they know about and understand the latest changes and additions to the tax code. Please note, some returns are beyond the scope of AARP and cannot be completed.
AARP will be providing in-person tax assistance at the Evergreen Branch Library on Fridays and Saturdays beginning Feb. 6, 2026, and ending April 12. Appointments are required. Library staff cannot make or change appointments for you.
To make an appointment, you must pick up a taxpayer packet with instructions. Packets are available for pick up at the Evergreen Branch Library, 9512 Evergreen Way, or at Everett Main Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave.
Packets will also be available at the following partner locations:
- Mill Creek Library, 15429 Bothell Everett Hwy

There is an AARP phone number listed on the tax packet for you to call in order to make an appointment. Please complete the forms in the packet before your appointment.
