   Appointments

   Requests should be made at least 24 hours before your intended date of visit, with more advanced notice if you require access to archival materials. 

   Requests submitted Saturday-Monday will not be seen until staff returns on Tuesday. Until you receive confirmation from a member of staff with a time and date, please be advised that your appointment has not been scheduled. 

   Property research, historical image requests, and newspaper lookups can all be done by staff without requiring you to visit.

   Research Requests

   Please include as much detail as possible about what you are hoping to find and what resources you have consulted. If you are working on a project that is time-sensitive, please include your deadline.

   Image Requests

   If you are submitting a request for high-resolution copies of materials found in the Digital Collections, include the URL, title, and if available, the number of each item. Pay particular attention to the rights information for the items you are requesting to ensure they are Everett Public Library materials. Items from partner organizations will require their permission for reproduction. If you have a deadline for needing the files, please include with your request.

In some cases staff may be able to fill requests for you virtually, but in others you may need to schedule a visit to the Northwest Room to work with materials that are not digitized. Telling staff more about your goals helps them give you quickest and most helpful response.

    In many cases our most-common requests can be filled without researchers making an appointment. Northwest Room staff is always happy to accommodate those who enjoy doing the research themselves, but will offer to send items to save you the trip if it's faster for staff to fill the request.
