ESL Talk Time
Practice speaking English with other English Language Learners each week at the Evergreen Branch!
When? Every Thursday, 1-3 p.m.
Where? Evergreen Branch Library (9512 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA 98204)
What is talk time? This group is for speakers of any language to practice their English in a fun, relaxed atmosphere! Conversations focus on communication and the use of real English as heard in everyday usage. The group is facilitated by trained volunteer Wendy, who has provided weekly Talk Time programs for years for the Everett Public Library. Please arrive at the beginning of the session to get the most benefit.
Are there other options? Check out local talk time groups run by other organizations, including:
- Carl Gipson Center (3025 Lombard Ave.) hosts talk time from 9:30-11 a.m. on Fridays (registration is required)
- Sno-Isle Libraries has several talk time groups, including an in-person talk time at the Mariner Library in South Everett (520 128th St. SW). See website for schedule and locations.
I need help learning English. Everett Public Library does not currently have in-person English classes. You can sign up for classes at Evergreen Goodwill. English classes are also available from Bethany Compassion Center, Everett Community College and The Village on Casino Road, and other community organizations.
With a library card, you can check out our language-learning books (ask a librarian for suggestions!) or download our language-learning app, Mango.
