The Northwest History Room offers materials and services that enhance understanding of the Pacific Northwest region. Our collections feature maps, pamphlets, oral history interviews, and historic photos relating to Everett and Snohomish County history.
Our historians are available to answer questions, provide programs, or listen to your story. Stop by Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., or contact us with your questions by phone or email.
Born and raised in Everett, Washington, David Dilgard has worked for thirty-five years as a specialist in regional history at the Everett Public Library. During the course of his career he has made countless presentations for local schools, service clubs, and other organizations, as well as numerous radio and television appearances. David has authored a number of books, walking tours, and historical podcasts, for which he has received several awards. David is available to help visitors to the Northwest History Room with research questions about local and regional history topics.
Lisa Labovitch came to the Everett Public Library from a background in museum, archives, and library work. Lisa is responsible for selecting and purchasing the books and other new materials that go into the Northwest History Room. In addition to helping build the library's research collection, Lisa works with the library's archival materials to get them organized, digitized, and available for users online. You can find Lisa in the Northwest History Room or at the Main Library reference desk if you have questions about researching a property or ancestor, or how to care for your family's photos and documents.
