EVERETT, WA – Get your Tuesdays off to a good start with a free yoga class! Local yoga instructor Diane Brooks will present “Morning Yoga for Every Body.” This series of five virtual classes are suitable for all experience and fitness levels. Drop in for one or all sessions. Classes will be held each Tuesday morning in November at 10 am at: crowdcast.io/e/morningyoga.
Try out hatha yoga for a moderate workout. This includes yoga postures in seated, reclined and standing positions, as well as some balance postures. Experience yin yoga, which incorporates present-moment mindfulness while holding gentle stretches on the mat. Yin yoga helps open the connective tissues to increase flexibility. Both styles will include demonstrations of chair yoga options.
Instructor Diane Brooks is a 20-year yoga practitioner. She is certified as a hatha yoga instructor by the American Yoga School and as a Karuna hatha teacher by the late Paul MacNaughton. She also completed a 50-hour yin yoga teacher training with internationally known yin expert and author Bernie Clark. Brooks taught yoga for four years at Everett Community College and now teaches at various community locations.
