EVERETT, WA—Plan to join Everett Public Library and Everett Improv for a spectacular literary event on Saturday, Nov. 2. The program begins at 2 p.m. in the Everett Public Library auditorium at 2702 Hoyt Ave. The program is free to attend, and all ages are welcome.
Want to honor your favorite books by making fun of them? Everett Improv is coming to help! You supply the literary inspiration and we supply the hilarious homage! You yell it, we tell it!
Britney Barber, associate professor in the drama department at Everett Community College, founded Everett Improv in 2019 to teach and perform improvisational theater in Everett. She performs improv monthly at Café Zippy and at the Everett Historic Theater. Barber will teach classes at the new Everett Improv space in the Everett Public Market Building. For this library event, she and her collaborators will create on-the-spot and over-the-top original stories inspired by your favorite genres, authors, and books. Witness your suggestions becoming hilarious live stories right before your eyes!
Call it brain sugar, call it escapism, call it crazy, call it a guilty pleasure. Whatever you call it, it’s sure to be a ton of fun! After a ridiculous show, get up and play some games with the cast.
