Message from the Director
Last month, the governor approved libraries to re-open buildings at limited capacity. Since then, Everett Public Library staff has been working on plans and protocols to reopen our buildings to the community. Because our top priority is the health and safety of our staff and visitors, we have postponed announcing a date for re-opening in-building library services. As part of our re-opening efforts, we had planned revisions to our curbside hours. Those revised hours will still be effective on Monday, November 30. Please see the image below for full details.
Although we don't yet know when we will be able to welcome you inside the library, our staff is available to assist you with curbside pick-up and phone and email questions during our revised hours. Don't forget: our online resources are here for you 24/7.
As the case counts continue to climb in our area, we are proud to partner with Everett Emergency Management as a distribution site for free re-usable face coverings. If you or anyone you know is in need, simply visit either library location and we'll be happy to bring face coverings out to you.
The library will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. As most of us are now planning for a quiet holiday at home, I encourage you to place holds on music, movies, and books for your family to enjoy together this Thanksgiving. Please give us a call if you need suggestions, and our librarians will help you find something special to enjoy.
Finally, we have several fun programs coming up in the weeks ahead. A few of our favorites are highlighted below. Click on an image for more details about each program. Follow us on Facebook or Crowdcast to see all of our our upcoming programs!
