When can you start? When school ends, summer reading begins.*
Pick up a reading log at the library June 1 – July 31
Children and teens can earn a free book for completing 24 hours of reading. Adults have a reading challenge as well.
Read any way you like: o Read on your own
o Read as a family o Read out loud
o Listen to an audio book
Does your school have a summer reading assignment? Books you read for school during summer vacation count towards your 24 hours of reading. Can’t decide what to read? Ask a professional readers’ advisor (AKA “librarian”) for suggestions.
