The first year of the Everett Public Library’s Strategic Plan implementation process was a year of accomplishments: the debut of our book blog, the addition of sixteen additional public Internet computers, a 300% increase in Summer Reading Program enrollment, and the release of more than 30 podcasts devoted to local history and book reviews—and that’s only a snapshot of the year. A strategic plan lasts for more than one year, however, and we’re not resting on our laurels. Read our goals and objectives for 2010, year two of our plan, for additional information. You can expect more great programs, more computers, and last but not least, an excellent collection of books and other materials—all guaranteed to prove that the Library really is Everett’s gateway to lifelong learning opportunities, and experiences that inspire, inform, and entertain.
