Founded: 1894 by Woman's Book
Club (see Library History)
Governance: Governed by the
Board of Library Trustees; 5 members, alternating
five year terms appointed by the Mayor and confirmed
by City Council. Open meetings are held the 3rd
Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM in the Director's
Office. Members of the
Library Board of Trustees and the year
their terms expire:
Service area: Residents of
the City of Everett, and by reciprocal agreement
residents of the City of Seattle and King County, except the City of Enumclaw.
Funding: Funded by the City
of Everett General Revenues; operating budget.
Staff: Librarian 17, Other

Evergreen Way The south area branch opened
as a storefront
in 1985 followed by a permanent
