Mission: The Everett Public

Founded: 1894 by Woman's Book
Club (see Library History)
Governance: Governed by the
Board of Library Trustees; 5 members, alternating
five year terms appointed by the Mayor and confirmed
by City Council. Open meetings are held the 3rd
Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM in the Director's
Office. Member of the
Library Board of Trustees and the year
their terms expire:
Service area: Residents of
the City of Everett, and by reciprocal agreement
patrons of the King County Library System and
Seattle Public Library.
Funding: Funded by the City
of Everett General Revenues; operating budget.

Evergreen Branch 9512
Evergreen Way The south area branch opened
as a storefront in 1985 followed by a permanent
facility in the fall of 1989. Designed by Tom
Tredway, Dykeman Architects; General Contractor
- Stan Palmer Construction Co. Part of 1987 bond
issue. 8,500 sq ft. (Cost $1,218,195)

Main Library 2702 Hoyt Ave. Remodel/expansion
(part of 1987 bond issue) was completed in 1991.
